The Founder’s Journey

ZEMBITION began in 2015 as a personal mantra and mission. Back then, I was a young man chasing a dream, navigating culture shock, athletic ambition, and the search for identity. The original phrase that fuelled it all was simple: “Every day, I’m stronger.” The name ZEMBITION itself is a reflection of that inner fire, a blend of my last name Mzembe, and the word ambition, the ongoing pursuit of growth, purpose, and meaning.

But in 2017, something inside me shifted. I hit a pivotal crossroads in life emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I made a bold commitment to spend an entire year waking up at 3:00am every day to meditate, pray, and journal. This wasn’t about discipline for discipline’s sake, it was about healing, reclaiming my identity, and facing the person in the mirror. In the quiet hours of those early mornings, particularly at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane, I came to a realisation that would reshape everything I stood for - 'I am more'. It wasn’t just a phrase - it was a truth born from reflection. From learning to speak English as a young immigrant, to breaking cultural barriers through sport, to watching my dreams of becoming a professional rugby league player dissolve in an instant after being released from the Brisbane Broncos. But that moment didn’t define me, it redirected me.

I enrolled in the arts, found my voice on stage and on screen. I toured the country in national theatre productions, earned award nominations, and eventually stepped onto film sets alongside global stars like Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban. ZEMBITION evolved with me. It became more than a mantra. It became a movement.  ZEMBITION is about turning pain into purpose, setbacks into strength, and ambition into impact. Whether through workshops, storytelling, fitness, or even one powerful conversation, this platform exists to remind you:  You Are More.
